Product Review: NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Ultimate Glow Shots, Brightening Liquid Eyeshadow

There are a couple of products I think everyone should have in their makeup collection. One of these products is an easy-to-use liquid or cream eyeshadow to apply on those days when we’re running late or you just don’t want to think about your makeup too much. Therefore I’m always looking out for a new product to fill that position in my arsenal.
Why We Love It
The NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Ultimate Glow Shots, Brightening Liquid Eyeshadow immediately caught my eye. These shadows come in a large variety of colours and have a beautiful shimmer without glitter. They claim to have no flaking, no fallout, a second-skin feel and last up to 12 hours.
Light & bright shades
The NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Ultimate Glow Shots, Brightening Liquid Eyeshadow immediately caught my eye. These shadows come in a large variety of colours and have a beautiful shimmer without glitter. They claim to have no flaking, no fallout, a second-skin feel and last up to 12 hours.
How does it perform?
On the first swipe upon my eyes, I knew I had a winner! The second skin feel alone was enough to sell me on these beauties but, they also have a beautiful colour payoff and shimmer to them. Mango Moment is great for everyone in their collection. This effortless neutral champagne shade is a must-have for me. Twisted Tangerine is also neutral but with a fun peachy pop of colour. It’s a fun twist on a neutral, especially for Spring time. Lastly, Wow Cacao is a rich beautiful bronze shade. My go-to look in the summer is a bronze smoky eye meaning this will also be very reached for in my collection.
I love how glowy and brightening these are on the eye. I also don’t feel them at all which wins major points. My only complaint is that Twisted Tangerine requires a bit more work. It didn’t have immediate pay off like the other two and needed some extra coats. That being said, Twisted Tangerine applied on a thin sheet layer is very pretty and subtle pop of colour. The last test for these is to see how well they wear during the day, and whether they fade or crease at all.
The Bottom Line
The ultimate test for me is wearing them to my 8 hours shift at work and during the evening afterward. My workplace is quite warm, so if an eyeshadow can last and not crease during that it’s a winner in my book. This beautiful formula looked just as good at the end of my 12-hour day as when I first applied them at 8 am.
My final verdict for the NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Ultimate Glow Shots, Brightening Liquid Eyeshadow is that they are amazing! If you are in the market for the perfect liquid shadow, this is it. They have a great colour selection, great Amazon reviews, and honestly, I can’t wait to go pick up some more. These shadows feel great, wear beautifully and last.
